The Brooklyn born Roc Doogie has been lyrically incredible since being just a wee lad, breaking ego’s in BK public school hallways since 1991. Upon leaving the big apple to settle in its neighboring state, Connecticut, he continued to develop and build his craft. In 1998, shortly after moving to CT, he joined Phenetiks, a crew formed in 1993 by producer and the electronically controlled brain behind the curtain, Deto-22 . Since then, the group had a few changes in the roster, but the idea and philosophy has never changed. As Phenetiks, they released countless projects including Revolutionary Non-Pollutionary Mechanical Wonder which was released under Rawkus Records as part of the Rawkus 50. Highly sought after and considered to be an emcee’s emcee, Roc Doogie established himself as one of Connecticut’s elite Hip Hop artists. Formerly going under the moniker of “Roc 1″ reintroduces himself to the world as “Roc Doogie” with his solo debut My Mom Thinks I’m Awesome. His smooth flow, pin point delivery, sense of humor, and live show allows him to clearly out rhyme and out shine his competitors in this ever evolving rap game.
